Bobux (closed)

My beautiful girl is a huge fan of shoes and hats lately. What a girly girl! This is the daughter of a mom who shleps around in the same shoes 8 months of the year (hey, we only have 4 months of sandal season here on the Canadian prairies!) and never wears hats. Thankfully one of the fabulous females in this house has some good fashion sense!

We have a new favorite pair of shoes in this house, they are the i-walk Sport Shoe in lilac from Bobux! I was instantly attracted to these shoes because of the color. They are light lilac with darker lilac accents (at first I thought they were white and lilac from the photo but they're all lilac). How many times can I say lilac in one post?

I like that they are not the standard pink-is-the-only-color-we-sell-for-girls shoe! I love purple clothing for my daughter, it's still feminine but not the same as everyone else. Because of the lighter colored sole, the shoes look great with all the pastels in her Spring wardrobe as well as dark denim jeans. Aside from the awesome visual appeal of this shoe, the benefits of this shoe are fabulous as well.

Bobux is the only shoe company for children that uses Eco-leatherTM, which is exceptionally soft leather but is also safe for babies to put in their mouths. To soften leather, chemicals are typically used. Bobux uses all water based tanning agents and dye processes and the leather therefore is actually bio-degradable as well.

The i-walk line features full leather uppers and lining, padded insoles and a flexible natural rubber sole. Pediatricians recommend soft sole or flexible sole shoes for babies and toddlers to allow for optimum foot development.

Bobux spoiled us and sent 2 pairs of shoes to review! The other pair we choose is from the Bobux Original collection, the soft sole leather shoes with the ankle elastic system (the original creators of this style of shoe was Bobux!) that ensures they are able to easily slip on and stay on. I picked the Bobux Ice Pink Mary Jane Flowers design.

I thought these would be a cute shoe to wear with her Easter dress, and actually returned a dress I had originally planned for Easter because it didn't match! These shoes feature a suade-leather sole that is slip-resistent as well. I love using soft suade/leather sole shoes with dresses because whenever Nevaeh wears tights, she's sure to slip on the floor so this is like having grippy-socks on her, except they are 100x more adorable.

These shoes are also washable which is super - wash by hand or in the gentle cycle with a mild detergent (in the past I have tossed leather shoes in a lingere bag to wash which works like a charm).
